San Juan International Hostel

We are a "good sleeping hours", (gsh) hostel. Because good sleeping is important to us, we ask for a noise/conduct code after 10p. Our community, a working class one, with appreciation also for a gsh period. Night life available not that far from the hostel. Ask to our Staff.

In total two full (shared ) bathrooms which are open 24/7; hotwater showers.

We try as hard as possible to keep the hostel cozy, friendly and clean. The guests will get their own key and are able to put their luggage in a locker (need to bring your own padlock).

The SJIH is at the second floor of a residence with a balcony facing the North. All year long you can enjoy the sea breath and it is the perfect spot to meet up with other travelers, to play some games or just even have a Medalla with new friends. Inside, there is a big living room with free internet access and two laptops you are allowed to use 24/7.

The kitchen is equipped with a stove, a refrigerator including a freezer, a microwave, toaster, mixer and coffee making facilities. If you are staying on a Tuesday night, you don't need to bother about dinner. Tuesdays is our free PIZZA NIGHT!

We provide clean linen, towels, beach towels, umbrellas (if raining), sewing garn, iron/ iron board, a telephone for local calls for free and original Puerto Rican coffee (no instant one) as well. Don't hesitate to ask for it! All rooms with plenty of electrical sockets, high speed fans and mosquito screens.

Despite our regular business hours, 2:00pm to 10:00pm, we do provide service 24/7. Telephone numbers provided to guests + telephone on premises (no charge) makes easy communication out of our regular business hours when needed. Guest access to the hostel 24/7.

Payment accepted via credit cards, paypal, cash. There are ATM at walking distance. No one under 18 without a parent or legal guardian (advanced notice required). NO PASSPORT NEEDED FOR US CITIZENS. ID requested.

Located blocks from road PR#25, or Avenida Juan Ponce De Leon, and/or from road PR#35, or Avenida Manuel Fernandez Juncos, where easy to get transportation that will take you all over the city.

Minutes to banks, farm market, popular/budget restaurants, grocery stores, hospitals, post office, nite clubs, open air celebration, department store, cinema, pharmacies, museums, hair dressers, bars, fast food court, 24 hour venues and more.

Famous Condado Beach area; (where high ends hotels and casinos), is 25 minutes walk from the hostel or take the bus (route 21). Bus stop only 5 minutes from SJIH. Other San Juan beaches by walk or by wheel. Buses cost vary from $O.50USD to $0 .75USD.
