Because you are making a Group Booking, there are additional Terms and Conditions that apply. Please read them and click 'I Accept' below to continue with your booking

General Group Booking Terms

By making a group reservation through you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by and as set by the hostel in question.

  • In order to make a group reservation on it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
  • The booking deposit is non-refundable.
  • Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
  • are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
  • Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
  • It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
  • Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.

Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions

The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card 1 week prior to arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.

The following group types are not accepted by this hostel: Junior / Primary School, High / Secondary School If you have misrepresented the type of group you are booking for, your booking may be cancelled by the hostel."

Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.

The 'Lost In Milfontes Hostel' has a large living room with a direct connection to the kitchen. It also has three bathrooms, an outdoor patio equipped with all the necessary amenities so that our guests can enjoy a great meal, made by them, taking advantage of all the surroundings of a healthy and friendly environment, perhaps preparing, for the next day to discover our coast of Alentejo.

We are located in Vila Nova de Milfontes, a little coast and charming village in Southern Portugal. From our location you can get all the relevant spots of the area walking. For instance, Forte de Sao Clemente is just 15-20 minutes away walking from our position, meanwhile Praia Franquicia is around 25-30 mimnute walking from our location. In addition, from the village is easy to reach more important towns and cities such as Beja (one hour and a half by car), Evora (2 hours by car) or Lisbon (2 hours by car). Eventually, you can enjoy the best of natures going to Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina, Rua Serpa Pinto, which is just 40 minutes away by car.

The 'Lost In Milfontes Hostel' has three rooms on the top floor, each with two bunk beds and one with a single bed, equipped with quality mattresses, beds designed to provide maximum comfort, individual reading lights and electrical outlets as well Individual lockers.

Lost in Milfontes Hostel Policies and Conditions:

Cancellation policy: 48h before arrival.

Check in from 15:00 to 20:00 .
Check out from 08:00 to 11:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash.

Taxes included.
Breakfast not included.


The reception is open 11.00 to 23.00. ( At Botellon Store)

Get Lost in Milfontes Hostel

The guest must present a valid ID when filling the Sign-in Sheet.
The Hostel does not allow underage guests, even when these present a booking confirmation. By law, we are not allowed to receive guests under the age of 18.
The Hostel reserves the right to cancel a guest’s stay if he or she goes against any legal, moral or public decency norms. The same applies to any guest who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, who causes any damage to the Hostel’s property, or the property of any of the guests, or who is a wanted criminal.

Check –Out:

Unauthorized check-outs after the last check out time will result in a penalty of 50% of the day’s rate for the guest.
Before checking out the guest should ensure he or she has not left any belongings in the hostel. Lost In Milfontes Hostel is not responsible for any belongings that may have been left behind.


After 22:00, guests should avoid noisy activities that may inconvenience any other people staying at the Hostel (Decree- Law no. 292/2000 14 November).
Guests should avoid making too much noise between 22:00 and 08:00.

Damage to property:

If a guest loses his or her key, they should inform the Hostel immediately. There is a €10 penalty fee.
Any damage to Hostel property should be reported. The Hostel may require the guest pay the repair or substitution of the damaged property.

Guests should remember to always close the front door of the building.
People who are not on the guest list may not stay at the Hostel.
In accordance with Decree- Law no. 228/2009 14 August, Hostel Milfontes is not responsible for any money, jewelry or any other objects that may go missing in the Hostel. The Hostel has a locker at the Guest’s disposal.

Hygiene and Cleaning:

The Hostel’s common areas are cleaned every day.
The rooms are cleaned whenever a guest checks-out from the aforementioned rooms.
Stays of over 5 days: towels are changed on the fifth day and the bed sheets are changed on the seventh day.
Guests may request the towels or sheets be changed earlier at a cost of €5 and €2 respectively.


Smoking in the Hostel (guests may smoke only in the exterior area of the Hostel).
Changing the rooms’ layout.
Leaving rubbish in the Hostel’s common and private areas.
Allowing animals in the Hostel.
Using bath towels as beach towels. The towels provided by the Hostel are only to be used in the Hostel.
Eating and drinking in the rooms.
Using more beds than the ones assigned to the guest. Guests should avoid placing their belongings on other beds.

Common areas:

Guests should keep their belongings organized. The common areas are shared spaces so guests should avoid leaving their belongings lying around. Lost In Milfontes Hostel is not responsible for any missing belongings (the Hostel has lockers at the guests’ disposal).
The kitchen and fridge are for everyone to use. Guests should only consume what is theirs or what is found on the common shelf. The Hostel is not responsible for any of the items in those areas.
Guests should wash the dishes that they have used. The Hostel does not provide that service.
Guests should keep the rooms, bathrooms and common areas clean and organized.
Management reserves the right to ban the stay of anyone (guests or invited people) who act inappropriately, against the regulation of the hostel or against the legal and/or moral norms of the Portuguese Law.

    Mi experiencia fue NEFASTA. Llegamos a las 15,00 hh. y al ver la reserva nos dijeron. Al parecer por un error de Hostelworld mi reserva estaba cancelada y no había posibilidad de alojarnos. Tras horas después nos ofrecieron alojamiento en una vivienda que fuimos a ver y nos encontramos que era vieja sucia y con un olor nauseabundo. Finalmente nos dijeron que no podían hacer más y nos despacharon. Nos encontramos 7 personas (4 adultos y 3 niños) en la calle, sin alojamiento. PEOR IMPOSIBLE.
