General Group Booking Terms

By making a group reservation through Hostelworld.com you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Hostelworld.com and as set by the hostel in question.

  • In order to make a group reservation on Hostelworld.com it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
  • The booking deposit is non-refundable.
  • Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
  • Hostelworld.com are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
  • Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
  • It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
  • Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.

Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions

The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card 4 weeks prior to arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.

Please note that we require 100% of the first night to be paid to gurantee the reservation and the balance to be paid 1 calendar month ahead of the arrival time.

The St Athans Hotel is a proudly simple, family-run budget green Bed & Breakfast hotel in Bloomsbury, central London - just walking distance from many famous landmarks, museums, theatres and shops. Based in historic Grade II listed Georgian Townhouses, we offer great value for money and a friendly service - providing a comfortable home from home in a convenient location.

Showers and toilets are cleaned twice daily and are usually shared by three-to-four rooms.

Our rates include VAT, but not breakfast. However, we have a coffee house in our premises, offering both English and continental breakfast, as well as a range of coffees and homemade cakes and snacks.

If you have any special needs please tell us. We have a number of rooms on the ground floor that could be suitable for those with movement disabilities, though not suitable for wheelchair use, as stairs and narrow corridors are an unavoidable feature of our 200-year-old Georgian building. There are at least three steps up from the pavement outside into our building.

The hotel has been with the same family since 1964 and is run by Lucia Geyer together with her three sons, Hans, Stefan, Karl, and daughter Maria-Lisa. We aim to offer a friendly service at great value for money, providing a clean and comfortable home from home; somewhere you can relax and feel welcome, with easy access to some of London's most famous attractions.

Check-in time is from 14:00 till 20.00 Check-out time is 11:00. Our luggage room is available free of charge if you wish to leave bags with us on your arrival or departure day.

We require 48 hours' notice in case of a cancellation; otherwise we reserve the right to charge the amount of the first night.

We pre-authorise the amount of the first night in order to confirm your reservation.

We are pet friendly!

We welcome pets as family members. We accept any type of pet, as long as they're well behaved, and don't make any noise that might upset other guests.
Please ensure your pets are well behaved at all times.
Dogs must never be left unattended in rooms, and if cats are left unattended they must be caged - sorry - this is in case we need to enter the room for some reason.
It would be good if you brought your own pets bedding.
Guests are responsible for any mess, damage or personal injuries resulting from their pet.
(e.g. scratches on carpet or furniture, soiling carpet or bed linen etc)
The Hotel reserves the rights to charge guest for the cost of any damages and extra cleaning etc.
