A pleasant place with friendly, easy-going staff, second floor over a wonderful restaurant. This is the second time I've stayed here and when I return to San Jose, I plan to stay here again.

Very communal feel, dinner for $6 USD and a ride to the airport for cheap as well, highly recommend.

Generally clean and well-maintained spade. Kitchen was a little small, but overall functional. Some people in my group did wake up because of the train passing at 5 am, but some of us slept right through it. Hostel almost lost my reservation (not fun) but it worked out. Beds came with blankets, which is rare in Costa Rica. My towel had a hair in it, but otherwise space was clean. Walls are a little thin, so you should be quiet at night. Free breakfast was small but good!
