Instant sleep is an independent hostel in Hamburg with its own and a little unconventional style, located in the quarter 'Sternschanze'. Since 1999 we welcome guests from all over the world.
Enjoy our relaxed atmosphere: about 50 persons can stay in the beds of our eleven differently designed rooms. So we are a good address especially for people travelling on their own or in small groups and looking for room to sleep.
We are a classic backpacker hostel: with colourful, but simple rooms, a well equipped kitchen and communal bathrooms on the corridor. The hostel's heart is our lounge: here you can relax and meet other guests.
Do you want to be able to cook your own meals? And have good conversation with your fellow travellers? You've come to the right place!
There's a communal room where you can eat, drink and play games with others. We don't provide breakfast but you're welcome to cook in our fully-equipped kitchen.
We have free coffee and tea!
There's two bars below the hostel so it can get pretty lively around here, but there's no curfew!

Great hostel to meet new people, from backpackers to people getting away for a short trip. The facilities are incredible and they provide a great kitchen with a lot of tools and utensils which is really practical to cook and spare some money if you're backpacking.
Lovely staff and really helpful and welcoming to the guests, really happy with my choice. Will be back at some point :)

Wir waren 2 Nächte im InstantSleep. Das Personal war echt freundlich! Wir fanden die Atmosphäre aber unangenehm. Die Gäste die wir in unserem Zimmer hatten und auch im Nachbarzimmer, waren sehr politisiert bzw. radikal politisch für was das Hostel natürlich nichts dafür kann, aber wir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt. In der Nacht war (Club unten drunter) bis 4-5Uhr unheimlich laute Musik. Die Lage im Schanzenviertel können wir persönlich auch nicht empfehlen. Insgesamt hat es einfach nicht gepasst.
