Mikadi Beach Camp & Backpackers derives its name from the iconic Mikadi tree which thrives along the beautiful Tanzanian coastline. We offer en-suite rooms and simple bandas idyllically located on the beach in the Kigamboni area of Dar es Salaam, a lively and fun area away from the hustle & bustle of the city.
Our bar & restaurant offers good food, drinks, and of course great vibes, the ideal spot to meet other travelers and local residents. Mikadi offers SUP paddle boards and organizes boat trips to the nearby islands for snorkeling & camping.
We are only 20 mins from the Zanzibar ferry so ideally placed for those travelers wanting to visit Zanzibar before or after their stay. The airport is also easily accessible through the Nyerere bridge and we are of course happy to organize airport transfers or any other safaris or activities for you.

Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 12:00 to 00:00 .
Check out from 07:00 to 11:00 .
Payment upon arrival by credit cards, debit cards.
Taxes included.
Breakfast included.

Amazing location and very fun atmosphere. The only complaint was the sleeping arrangements. It was incredibly hot at night (our fan was broken and with a fan would not have been near as bad), but it was the bugs that were the worst, both in the bed and above it… Mosquito nets may as well have been attractors and when it came time to flip the lights on there was about 100 in the net. Place looked like a scene from dexter after they were all smashed with how much blood there was. Also the beds had some sort o

We spent three nights there and the beach and location was very beautiful! The pool was also nice to enjoy. The breakfast was also good.
The toilettes were most of the time very dirty and were only cleaned in the morning.
The mosquito net were a bit damaged but if you are bringing your own one it will be okay.
Also we had a mouse in our Bungalow at night who ate some of our soap and paper but due to some holes in the walls its difficult to avoid.
It was a bit sad that there was no kitchen to use
