The Royal Rat hostel has a number of options of you want to eat out. We have a few bars and restaurants within walking distance or street food located in Seine Bight, just a short bike ride away.
If you are coming by Bus, you can ask the bus driver to stop outside our Hostel. I recommend you put The Royal Rat Hostel in you Google Map and it will bring you straight to us.
All tours can be easily accessible from The Royal Rat Hostel.
The Royal Rat Hostel Policy and Condition:
Cancellation Policy: 14 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 12.00 to 20.30.
Check out before 11.00
Payment upon arrival by cash, credit and debit cards(3.5% surcharge for credit cards )
Taxes included
Breakfast not included
Our Bikes are Free, there are LTD bikes. No reservation or booking is required if the bikes are there take it!

I had some relaxing and peaceful days at Sheila’s & Marks hostel. Both are very friendly, always there to help or for a good chat. I liked the way the hostel was set up - everything’s clean, safe and modern. Would definitely recommend staying there! :)

We had a fantastic stay at the Royal Rat! Our hosts Sheila and Mark were so kind and helpful. They helped us set up tours, and had great recommendations for things to do and places to see in Placencia. The accommodations were great, we were able to do laundry and cook. It had a very relaxing vibe which was nice. The courtyard area was great, we spent a lot of time in the pool. The hostel is about 20 minutes away from town by bike, but they were free to use so it was easy to get to and from town. We would de

I booked for 2 nights and stayed for 4! Mark and Shelly make you feel comfortable in the little oasis they have made. It was at the end of the season so a little quieter, and very hot. Super chill environment, and happy to give you tips if you need it. Of course the best mascot Bella!!
