Hostal 53 has twelve rooms, located in one of the oldest neighborhoods of the City of Santo Domingo, specifically the sector of Gascue, whose name originates from one of its first inhabitants, Francisco Gascue, who was founded in that area in 1735, although the neighborhood had its greatest growth at the beginning of the 20th century; Gascue was a witness to many political events, and presidents, artists, businessmen, intellectuals, diplomats lived in its houses. In short, Gascue was the cradle of the Dominican aristocracy for much of the last century.

Our hostal is a central accommodation, just a 5-7 minute walk from the Colonial Zone, the oldest part of the city, where many tourist and historical places, museums, restaurants are located, such as Plaza España, La Atarazana, Museo of Duarte, Parque Independencia, The First Cathedral of the New World, the Museum of the Resistance, El Conde pedestrian street, where there is a wide variety of shops, where you can buy clothes, crafts, food, jewelry, etc.
Nearby there are pharmacies, grocery stores (wine shops), ice cream parlors and the Malecón de Santo Domingo, just a 5-minute walk away, as well as other places of interest.
