I stayed here in May 2022 when the protests had become more serious and a national curfew was implemented for a few days. It wasn’t an ideal time to be in Kandy but the hotel manager looked after me brilliantly, cooking me nice meals and finding out the latest information on the lockdown and whether trains were running, tourist attractions were open etc. Lovely view overlooking lots of greenery and only a short Tuk Tuk ride into town
