The location, rooms and staff are great, a hostel with the level of hotel. Free towel, free good WiFi, free Netflix, free food, and beautiful rooms.
Great place to stay in Cairns, 100% recommend.

The hostel is right downtown close to everything. Big kitchen with lots of fridge space, and a nice terrace outside. Only downside would be that the rooms can get stuffy since there are no open windows.

The common areas in this hostel make it all worth it. There is so much seating whether you want to hangout in a group or just sit by yourself. The staff is also extremely nice! The rooms themselves could have increased circulation (the windows go into the hallways and not outside) and some screens to get airflow would be nice. My room also did not have lockers but I found that most other rooms did. The wall are also slightly thin but 10pm quiet time is honoured well.
