Catch the Ella Train Hostel is actually a small old fashioned house that has been turned into a hostel little by little.
The hostel is located in Peradeniya in a small village which is 6km far from Kandy City. It takes 10 min by bus or by tuc-tuc to get into town.

And if you catch the Ella train from Peradeniya junction railway station it is less crowded than kandy train station.

You can stay in a completely quite environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Best thing about the hostel is that you can learn a little bit about the history of sri lanka from the sources available in the property. we have around 1000 books on both the history of Sri Lanka and Europe.

Also, a city tour can be arranged where you will learn a lot about the rural side of kandy and sri lanka.
